13 20 00 jam inside top cover p3015 toner

Error 13.20.00 on HP LaserJet P3015

Re: Error 13.20.00 on HP LaserJet P3015

It is most likely caused by a bad toner, or a sensor flag. Remove the toner cartridge, and you will see two sensors.

Check to see if the sensor flags are all the way back. Sometimes they look like they are good, but a slight lean forward can cause the error.

Place a piece of tape to hold the suspect sensor. Put the toner back in (dont print anything) and see if the error goes away. If it does, you found the culprit.

Remove the shield, and you will see the sensor, and most likely the spring got dislodged or bent. Use a paper clip if you need to pull it back up.

The spring should look like the above picture and the sensor should be all the way back.

This is a common issue and most times a bear to repair. There is a sensor flag mounted on the paper feed assembly behind tray 1 which has a habit of either coming off or the spring which moves it back a forth comes out of its holder. In any case it is one of the worst repairs you have to do. Many items have to come off to get to it and getting that flag and spring on correctly even with the instructions is difficult. Usually what will happen is you get the 13.20.00 error on power up with no motor movement and when you open and close the top cover, the motor will move but the same error reappears. If you are lucky it is just a case of a shred of paper blocking the sensor flag from moving and worst case of the flag having come off. You will need the service manual and check the removal and replacment section on the paper feed assembly and play close attention to the 3rd page.

sometimes this error also appears if a wrong fuser is installed in ur printer that is not ur model number. have it checked
thank you have a nice day

Testimonial: " Good answers – unfortunately still no closer to solving the problem. "

Put a maintence kit in your machine, easy install, everything just clicks in, Every 200 000 prints it should be done, it includes the fuser, all feed rollers, sep pad and transfer roller.

These are great printing machine, they only ever need the MK and on this model a fuser drive gear wears and get noisy, but once that has been done once, it is ok from then on.
KIts seem expensive but they are meant to last 200 000 prints and usally do. These are one of the best most reliable printers in the market.

Perry,
Usually I have found that there is a scrunched up piece or bit of paper in the fuser.
I am adding a link below that will take you through the step-by-step process and you should find the source of the problem. Be careful when touching the fuser that thing gets HOT!!

You need to ask them to change the fuser..The fuser is the part of the printer that actually melts the toner onto the page. Here is a website that gives you more info on the fuser so they can’t B.S. you anymore..either the fuser works or it doesn’t..

Please rate this solution thanks.

This error is associated with either a sheet of paper blocking the paper path or a partial piece of paper that blocks path or trips a sensor. The printer will usually throw up a error code 13.XX on the display and the XX is a number that will indicate where in the paper path this error most probably occurred. Just follow the steps for your error on the below chart.

047-320 error

When we had this error code, we tried all the doors. No luck. I checked the fuser and there was a piece of paper jammed inside. We now know that we need a new fuser before the error message will go away, but it was the paper jam inside the fuser that caused the fault code. The fuser simply got too hot with the paper in there and burned up, apparently.

Printer problem

even a very small piece of paper (A small piece torn off a jammed sheet) can cause the sensor arm to stick in place giving a false paper jam. Double check the entire paper path (what is visible) using a flashlight.
Also, check for broken “flag” sensors. Basically a flag sensor is a small piece of plastic that is pushed out of the way when the paper is traveling through the unit. If one of these flags is broken it may display a paper jam error as well (The flag after paper travels through will drop back into the paper path.) If this is broken it will not trigger the sensor and thus the error condition exists.
Most likely you have a small piece of paper stuck inside the paper path somewhere.
Do not, I repeat do not use any sharp or pointed metal objects to remove any small paper from within the fuser unit, the fuser covers are very delicate and such poking and prodding will likely damage the fuser covers, causing bad print quality or drastically decrease the fuser life (a small tear will quickly render the fuser useless).
Hope this helps!

202 pam jam

usually it means that a sensor in your fuser is bad. If you have a P.M. Kit replaced the fuser and clean the printer.

but before you do, make sure that you have cleared all jams, including in the fuser.

Its probably time for a Preventive Maintanence

Flashing red button with a triangle and. in it. printer won’t work

If only the attention light is flashing then follow the guide below –

The Attention (amber)
light is blinking.
Attention error. The top
cover is open.
Close the top cover.
Attention error. The

1. Clear the jam (see pages 164 through 168).
2. If the location of the jam is not apparent, check
the embedded Web server to find the jam
location.
If the jam was under the imaging drum, toggle
the registration sensor to check its movement
and replace the registration sensor if it does not
move freely.
If the jam was in the fuser area, toggle the fuser
exit sensor to check its movement and replace
the fuser exit sensor if it does not move freely.

Error 13-jam paper HP Laser 4+

HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus and 4m Plus Series Printers – False Error Message 13 PAPER JAM ISSUE: After clearing all jammed paper from the HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus, or 4m Plus series printer, the display still reads 13 Paper Jam. Even after cycling the power off and then back on, the error remains. SOLUTION: Open the rear door of the printer. There is a paper sensor near the upper right hand corner of the fusing assembly (just below the right edge of the long yellow warning sticker on the fuser) that can cause paper jam error messages even when there is no jammed paper in the printer. Toggle the thin black plastic lever up and down to make sure it is not stuck or sticky. The lever should be in the down position before closing the back of the printer. If the lever is stuck or missing, the printer will generate a false paper jam message. Hope it will help you.
