Salesforce.com Ranks #7 on FORTUNE’S 100 Best Companies to Work For List

We continue to climb the list, cracking the Top Ten for the first time with a #7 ranking this year–up 12 places from last year. Talk about something worth celebrating!

FORTUNE’s esteemed list publicly recognizes workplace cultures where employees take pride in their work, trust the people they work for, and enjoy the people they work with and the environment they work in. We’re honored and proud to be in good company on the list with other great tech companies like Google, Intuit, NetApp, Intel, and Microsoft.

What makes salesforce.com one of the best companies to work for? To start, 96% of employees say that people look forward to coming to work here, and 91% say when they look at what they do, they feel a sense of pride. And they’re shouting the #dreamjob love from the rooftops: 96% of employees say they are proud to tell others they work at salesforce.com.

We took to Chatter. our internal social network, to ask employees what they love about working at salesforce.com. Here’s what they had to say:

“We are pushed to do our best, given all the resources to ensure success, and rewarded for achieving our goals.” – Nicholas, Solution Architect

“I couldn’t ask for more caring colleagues who are exceptionally hard-working, yet take the time to mentor, appreciate, and celebrate!” – Melineh, Recruiting

“Prior to coming on board, I always wanted to do more to help those in need. Now, as a salesforce.com employee, I’ve been able to realize that dream through our Volunteer Time Off program.” – Adam, Sales Engineering

“I deeply appreciate the open and trusting communication of our leadership team and culture.” – Scott, Solution Strategist

“The energy, the collaboration, the belief in our product, and the overwhelming sense of teamwork, community, and desire.” – Ryan, Cloud Success Technologist

“At salesforce.com, our caring for each other goes deeper than just coworker level. We’re like friends and family.” – Christina, Sales Engineering

To pick the “100 Best,” FORTUNE partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America: 257 firms participated in this year’s survey. More than 252,000 employees at those companies were surveyed by the institute, a global research and consulting firm operating in 45 countries around the world. Two-thirds of a company’s score is based on the results of the institute’s Trust Index survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. The other third is based on responses to the institute’s Culture Audit, which includes detailed questions about pay, benefit programs, hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs, and diversity efforts.
